Auto-recovery/Auto-save Help!!!?

I was working on a .doc at work for a few hours and forgot to email it to myself when I left. Someone since has used the computer and canceled out of the .doc without saving the file. It is an older version of Word, but is there anyway that it may have auto-saved, or can I perform auto-recovery. PLEASE HELP ME!!! It was my Midterm Study materials!
