How can I sharpen my math skills?

You can buy books about math and study over the summer, I know it sounds boring, but you can lie out in the sun or sit on a tube in the pool and study.There is a book called "Math Doesn't suck" and it improved my math grade by 12 points, I have a tough time with math. I definitely say go buy the book
